Volunteer Stream Monitoring

Your streams near your home and your work are in need of your help.  Pick a stream and get a team to test the stream monthly at various locations. Click here for more information.

Volunteers throughout the vast Lake Erie watershed are testing and sharing results which will be posted on this website. However, more help is needed.

Wolfe Creek is being tested by a team. To see the results click here.

Water sample kits contain tests for temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, phosphorous, and e-coli, nitrites and ammonia. Tests are taken monthly.

When results exceed recommended water quality limits, the WLEWA reports these results to the area's water regulators.

If interested in sampling a stream near you, please call 419-691-3788, or send an email to sandylakeerie@aol.com.

Periodically, group training sessions are available.

Don't let your stream be a victim. Get involved in protecting its health!
